I have realized that at times I am in complete denial about where I am. It's also interesting how despite the circumstances surrounding us, each person tends to perform the activities that they enjoy. I have been bartending once a week now for 3 months. While bartending I learned that I don't know how to pour tequila shots properly when the shot glasses are all lined up. There's a technique that I have yet to learn. I stayed up late last night and as a result I'm hurting today. I feel so selfish because I want to have a close to normal social night once a week and forget about the insanity of everyday life here. However, while I'm out partying once a week there are people without power or security.

I'm still in Baghdad. Sorry for not writing sooner. A lot has happened since. Right now, I'm only looking forward. The outcome of the election on one hand has been over analyzed and on the other hand is so up in the air.
